Beliefs

What we believe at Epiphany about Jesus The Word Of God, the Bible, and the Church

Our Beliefs

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

THE TRINITY

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everyday lives.

THE FALL

We believe that sin is a sickness that keeps us from fully being like God & has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

THE REMEDY

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the power and significance of the Church, Holy Tradition and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together.

A Little Deeper

Biblical Teaching & Tradition

We believe in the bible as the divinely inspired scriptures left to the Church for edification, instruction, encouragement, correction, and transformation. We also believe in Christian Tradition. It is said the be the "Spirit" behind the letter of scripture. The Tradition of the Church has been preserved down from Jesus and the Apostles to now in the Orthodox Christian Faith. Through tradition, we learn of the lives of the Apostolic fathers of the faith and learn to live holy and righteous lives before God. This Holy Tradition also includes the ecumenical councils that were held throughout the first century that stood against false teaching to preserve The One Faith.

Outreach & Evangelism

Our church understands that Outreach & Evangelism are two different pieces of a larger puzzle. Outreach is more about serving those in our community through feeding, clothing, and housing programs along with Job enrichment, education, and resources for families in need. That in itself is doing what Jesus did. We use outreach events to evangelize to people. Evangelism is spreading the message of the good news to those who may not have ever heard it or to those who may have walked away from the faith. Evangelism is not about recruiting people to our church in particular, but gather up the lost sheep and returning them to the fold in to THE ONE CHURCH of Jesus the Christ.

Discipleship

We believe discipleship is a simple concept, yet not easily accomplished. Jesus recruited his newest pupils by saying "come follow me." Discipleship is about welcoming others into our world, becoming a part of their world and walking with them on this journey of salvation and life. We are here for each other to help one another grow into the people God has called and designed us to be.

We would like to take this time to thank you for your time and visiting with our ministry. It means a lot to us to have partners in ministry that will work with and help us fulfill our ministry call in equipping and training the body of Jesus Christ to walk in the fullness of the power of Holy Spirit and encounter the Life-Giving Love Of God. We hope you will Awaken to Righteousness and what it means to be your True Self in JESUS the CHRIST and LIVE in the FULLEST REALITY that is COMMUNION WITH GOD!

It is our goal, purpose, and mission to raise up a nation of believers that manifest Jesus in the earth and release the will of the Father! We desire to help others learn their true identity in Jesus, to walk in love and power, learn the Father’s heart and perspective. We desire to see the people’s hearts set on fire for God and that they would walk in authority and victory! We desire to influence, create and cultivate a Kingdom mindset & culture in the hearts, minds, and lives of every believer. Our ministry mandate and assignment it to ignite them, the body of Christ, to fulfill the great commission which is the Father's heart! We preach, teach, proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom in which Jesus said is “AT HAND.” The Kingdom is here, it’s now and is Inside of us! We have been charged with leading a revolution in turning the hearts of all men back to God!

We are loving people who want to make God known! THE CITY is purposed to be a light, to awake the nations & to create a culture of people of "God in man!" We are working to raise up a generation and a nation of believers with hearts on fire for God. As believers, our goal is to present & produce God in the earth. All are welcome to come and experience abundant life in the "TRUE & LIVING" God! Selah!

THE NICENE CREED

I believe in one God, Father Almighty, Creator of

heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of

God, begotten of the Father before all ages;

Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten,

not created, of one essence with the Father

through Whom all things were made.

Who for us men and for our salvation

came down from heaven and was incarnate

of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man.

He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,

and suffered and was buried;

And He rose on the third day,

according to the Scriptures.

He ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father;

And He will come again with glory to judge the living

and dead. His kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Creator of life,

Who proceeds from the Father, Who together with the

Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, Who

spoke through the prophets.

In one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.

I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

I look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the age to come.

Amen.

Christian Orthodoxy is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn’t non-denominational, it’s pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended, and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2,000 years ago.
